Philhaven
A portion of the proceeds of every copy of A Pocket Guide to Amish Life is donated to an Amish-related nonprofit organization. Currently, donations are helping to provide mental health care services for the Amish through the "Caring Fund" of Philhaven, which is headquartered in Mt. Gretna, PA.
Philhaven is a non-profit behavioral healthcare organization offering a wide range of services for children, adolescents, adults and older adults in south central Pennsylvania. An agency of the Lancaster Conference of Mennonite Churches, Philhaven provides professional behavioral healthcare services in an atmosphere of Christian love and care.
Author Mindy Starns Clark is delighted to help such a worthy organization! To learn more, visit Philhaven's website. You may also enjoy reading about Green Pastures, the Amish-built and -run housing facility for Amish patients who are receiving treatment at Philhaven.
